Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DevHive ("Service"), operated by [Your legal entity name] ("we", "us", "DevHive"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

0. Your code, your copyright

You retain all intellectual-property rights in any code, configuration, or other material you submit to DevHive ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable licence to process Customer Content solely as necessary to operate the Service for you (clone, parse, embed, summarise, draft documentation, deliver answers to your authenticated chat sessions). We do not use Customer Content to train models, sell it to third parties, or share it across tenants. We do not claim authorship of any wiki page, graph node, or chat answer derived from your code — those derivative works belong to you. The licence ends when you delete your account; we will purge Customer Content within 30 days.

1. The service

DevHive ingests source code repositories you authorize and produces queryable wikis, knowledge graphs, and AI-generated answers. We use third-party AI providers (Google Vertex AI today) to do this. Output is generated; we don't guarantee it's accurate.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
One account per natural person; you may not share an account with others on the Free or Pro tier.

3. Plans, payment, and renewal

The Free plan is free, capped, and may have features removed at any time.
Paid plans are sold as 30-day passes. Each pass is a one-time charge in INR via Razorpay. There is no automatic recurring charge — you upgrade again to renew.
Prices are listed in the Billing tab inside the app. We may change prices for new passes; existing active passes are not affected.
GST is added where applicable.
Receipts are sent to your account email.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a pass at any time from Settings — you'll keep access until the period ends; there's no further charge.
No refunds for partial periods on monthly passes.
If we materially break the Service for >24 hours, contact support@devhive.example.com for a pro-rated credit.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use DevHive to:

Ingest code you don't have the right to access
Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service in ways that overload it
Run security tests against the Service without prior written consent
Generate content that infringes IP, defames others, or violates law
Resell or sublicense access without our written agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Your code, your wiki

You retain all ownership of code you ingest and content you create.
You grant us a limited license to process your code/queries solely to provide the Service.
We do not use your code or queries to train any AI model.
You can export everything from Settings → Export, or delete it from Settings → Delete account.

7. AI output disclaimer

The wiki, graph, and chat answers are AI-generated. They may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Verify before relying on them for production decisions. We are not liable for damages caused by acting on AI output.

8. Service availability

We don't promise specific uptime on the Free or Pro plans. We do try hard. Maintenance windows may cause brief disruptions and we don't pre-announce them on free tiers. Enterprise customers get a written SLA.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or ₹10,000, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profits damages.

10. Termination

You can terminate at any time — Settings → Delete account.
We can terminate accounts for violation of these Terms with reasonable notice (or immediately for serious violations).
On termination, your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll email you about material changes 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect = acceptance. The current version always lives at this URL.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of [your city], India.
