Turn Slack and meeting decisions into Jira tickets, with approval
“Let’s fix that next sprint” gets said in Slack and in meetings every day, and half of it never becomes a ticket. Here is how to capture it without letting an AI file tickets nobody asked for.
Why approval matters
An AI that files tickets on its own fills your backlog with duplicates and half-decisions. An AI that only suggests, with the source quote attached, gets the useful part (nothing is forgotten) without the noise. The person who owns the backlog stays in charge.
Four ways to do it
| Approach | What it catches | Who checks it | Context kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copy it into Jira by hand | Whoever remembers | You | Often lost |
| Jira Cloud for Slack: create a work item from a message (Rovo can draft the summary when enabled) | One message or thread at a time | You, in the create form | The message you started from |
| Rule-based automation (Zapier and similar) | A trigger you define, such as an emoji | No review unless you add a step | What the rule passes |
| Enhanciar | Picks up decisions and action items from Slack threads, meeting notes and transcripts | A person approves each draft in the Actions queue | The quote it came from, kept on the proposal |
How it works in Enhanciar
- Connect Slack and Jira or Linear (and Notion, Gmail, Google Calendar or Zendesk if the follow-ups go there).
- Ask, or let ingest find it. In the web app say “turn this thread into Jira tickets”, or upload meeting notes and transcripts; action items are picked out with the line they came from.
- Review the draft. Each proposal shows the full payload (title, description and project) and the quote behind it.
- Approve, edit or reject. Approved actions run exactly once. MCP clients like Claude or Cursor can propose actions too, but can never approve them.

Ask it anything. Hand it the follow-up.
After the answer, say what you need. It drafts the work and waits in your Actions queue for a person to approve.
Orange dot: waits for your approval. Teal dot: pull-request review posts on its own, only on repos where you turn it on.
Things people ask.
Can AI create Jira tickets from Slack conversations?
Yes. Jira Cloud for Slack lets you create a work item from a message, and its Rovo feature can draft the summary when enabled. Enhanciar drafts Jira or Linear tickets from Slack threads and meeting notes with the source quote attached, and a person approves each one before it is created.
Will Enhanciar create tickets without asking?
No. Every ticket, Slack post, Gmail draft, Notion page, calendar event, Zendesk note and GitHub issue waits in the Actions queue until a person approves it. The only thing that posts on its own is pull-request review, on repos where you turn it on.
Does it work with Linear as well as Jira?
Yes, Enhanciar drafts both Jira and Linear tickets, plus GitHub issues.
Can it turn meeting notes into tasks?
Yes. Upload meeting notes or transcripts and Enhanciar extracts action items as proposals, each with the line it came from, for a person to approve.
How much does Enhanciar cost?
Solo is $24 a month and Team is $100 a month for up to 10 people (one flat price, not per seat), billed monthly; Enterprise is custom. Every plan is paid, and you bring your own Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic key and pay that provider directly; Enhanciar adds $0 on AI usage.
